I hope to find the time to read the recent translation by Richard Pevear and Larissa Volokhonsky. War and Peace Update #1 · War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy. As one who gave up reading War and Peace twice but breezed through it the third time because it was the Pevear/Volokhonsky translation, I am delighted to hear that Turgenev is next in line! I bought the Pevear/Volokhonsky translation for the Kindle because my ancient Penguin copy has a small font that's tiring on the eyes. My favorite novel of all novels is The Brothers Karamazov in the Pevear and Volokhonsky translation.
